BON VOYAGE

The time has come! After almost a year of planning, everything is finally sorted and ready for the big trip. I’ll be gone for 3 and a half months total - here’s a taste of the where, what and how of my photography over the journey:

GEAR
No true photographer goes on a trip without posting a gratuitous photo of their gear all together, and here it is:

In there I’ve got:
Canon 5D mkIII
Canon 5D mkII
16-35mm 2.8L, 50mm f/1.8, 100mm f/2, 200mm f/2.8L Lenses
Canon Powershot S100
Manfrotto Tripod
ND Grad filters
Remote Switch
Macbook Pro
CF and SD memory cards
Portable Hard Drives

SCHEDULE:

MAY

I arrive in Glasgow, spending almost a week in Scotland before heading to Paris then London on the hunt for good bread, cheese, wine and premier league football.

Norway is next for a National Day celebration in Bergen on 17th May. I’ll take the ferry to Stavanger and then move on to a week each in Oslo and Copenhagen.

JUNE

The second month of the trip is through central Europe, with a detour mid-trip to Lofoten in Norway to photograph a wedding. I start off in Berlin, moving through to Amsterdam before heading North for half a week.

I head back down to Geneva, through the swiss alps into Italy, and on to southern France and Barcelona to finish the month.

JULY

July takes me east to Prague, Vienna and Budapest before another wedding in Stockholm. After a week in Sweden, I’ll be on yacht week in Croatia then finish the month back in London before the U.S.

AUGUST
The trip finishes through North America, passing Iceland on the way. I’ll spend a few days each in Boston, Toronto and Arizona before finally returning back home.

The trip wouldn’t be possible at all without the help of so many amazing friends acting as hosts, tour guides and sanity keepers. I’ll be thanking them in time!

Stay tuned on the blog, facebook page and Instagram as I’ll keep the photos coming from each place I visit.

Cheers!
