My presence

The privilege of this job is being there for the biggest moments in people’s lives.

The challenge is catching them without getting in the way.

You’ll spend more of your wedding day with the photographer than with your own parents. My favourite feedback is that it felt like I was just another guest. Shooting film helps, because I only lift the camera when there’s something worth capturing.

Weddings are complicated though, and sometimes you do need a nudge. I’m happy to step in and keep things moving.

We’ve also had so many guests mention how kind, professional, and easy you were to be around. Your great energy really added to the day, and it shows in the photos as well.

My story

Twelve years in,
I changed how I work.

I’ve always been open to trying new things. Or old things. Anything different really, if it might settle the feeling that there’s a better, more interesting way to do what I’m doing.

Twelve years out of engineering and twelve years into shooting weddings on digital, staring at screens and delivering cloud links, I started asking whether that was still the right way to do it.

I realised that the role of a wedding photographer has changed.

When I started I was the only one at a wedding with the gear and the memory-card space to capture everything. Now every guest has a phone that shoots all day.

That advantage is gone. Anyone can archive the day now, so my job is to make something you’ll want to keep.

Shooting exclusively on analog film, I deliver a hand-designed album for every wedding I shoot.

What shapes me
Fatherhood

Becoming a dad has helped me see the moments that truly matter.

Crossing borders

Living abroad for a decade has helped me understand people beyond language.

Agency creative

Years working with renowned creatives refined my storytelling approach.

Engineering degree

Preparation leaves room for creativity. Problem-solving keeps things on track.

What drives me
Your experience

From your first email to the album, you come first.

Real moments

I spot real moments rather than staging them.

Curation

Every frame is a choice. Shooting film makes sure of that.

Low footprint

Your wedding is a celebration, not a photoshoot.
